Property:

Colorless or white crystalline powder, density 3.13g/cm3, melting point 618℃, boiling point 1345℃, easily soluble in water and ethanol. The aqueous solution is darkened by light and the iodine is dissociated.

Usage:

1. Potassium iodide added to feed as an iodine source can prevent and control iodine deficiency disorder, promote growth, increase egg production rate and reproductive rate, and improve feed utilization rate.

2. Used as analytical reagents, chromatographic analysis and spot analysis, also used in the preparation of photographic photographic emulsifiers, pharmaceutical industry, soap, lithography printing, organic synthesis, medicine, food additives, etc.

3. Potassium iodide is a permitted food iodine booster.

4. Potassium iodide is the raw material for making iodides and dyes.
