• For various allergic diseases (urticaria, angioneurotic edema, anaphylactic shock, allergic reaction to blood or blood products).

• Prevent motion sickness, sedation and hypnosis.

• Used in combination with pethidine or atropine for pre-anesthetic administration.

• Treatment of post-operative, radiation sickness or drug-induced vomiting.

• Hibernation mixture with pethidine and chlorpromazine for artificial hibernation.

• Combined with aminophylline to treat asthma.

• As an ingredient in compound cough suppressants.
