Property:

black purple crystal, with blue metallic luster, odorless, contact with some organic matter or easy oxide, easy to explode, soluble in water, lye, slightly soluble in methanol, acetone, sulfuric acid.

Usage:

1. In chemical production, it is widely used as an oxidizing agent, such as an oxidizing agent for saccharin, vitamin C, isoniazid and benzoic acid;

2. Used in medicine as antiseptic, disinfectant, deodorant and antidote;

3. In water purification and wastewater treatment, as a water treatment agent, to oxidize hydrogen sulfide, phenol, iron, manganese and organic, inorganic and other pollutants, control odor and decolorization.

4. Also used as bleach, adsorbent, coloring agent and disinfectant.
