Property:

Monoclinic crystal system colorless needle or leaf-shaped crystal, fruit sour taste. Slightly soluble in water, ether and acetic acid, soluble in ethanol. Almost insoluble in chloroform.

Usage:

1. Used as a mordant

2. Used in the manufacture of unsaturated polyester resin, pesticides, acid agents and amino acids

3. Use as sour agent, mostly used with citric acid, used in refreshing drinks, fruit drops, jelly, ice cream and so on.

4. It is also used as an intermediate for synthetic resin and mordant.

5. Food sour agent, which plays an important role in bacteriostasis and anti-corrosion; Acidity regulator, acidifier, anti-thermal oxidation agent, salting promoter, spice. When used as acid substance of gas producing agent of solid beverage, the bubbles are durable and delicate;

6. Fine chemical intermediates such as pharmaceutical and optical bleach. It is used for the production of the antidotes sodium dimercaptosuccinate and the drugs for the treatment of small red blood cell anemia. It is also used to produce unsaturated polyester resin.
