Property:

White crystalline powder, odor of sulfur dioxide. Soluble in water, the aqueous solution is acidic. Soluble in glycerol, slightly soluble in ethanol.

Usage:

1. Used as preservative, bleach and loose agent in food processing.

2. Sodium sulfite is used in printing and dyeing, organic synthesis, printing, tanning, pharmaceutical and other departments;

3. The pharmaceutical industry is used for the production of insurance powder, sulfadimethylpyrimidine, caprolactam, etc., and the purification of chloroform, phenylpropanone and benzaldehyde.

4. The photographic industry is used as a fixing agent ingredient.

5. The spice industry is used to produce vanillin.

6. Used as preservative in brewing industry, rubber coagulant and dechlorination agent after cotton bleaching.
